I build the systems that make fund operations faster, cheaper and more reliable.

Fractional CTO and senior engineer for private equity and private credit firms. I take the manual work out of the processes your team repeats every quarter.

Faster Cycles that take days instead of weeks, and answers while the question is still being asked.
Cheaper More funds, vehicles and LP demands absorbed by the same team, without a hire each time.
More reliable The same process every quarter, documented, with every figure traceable to its source.

Illustrative only — a fictional fund, with invented figures. Every number on a screen like this traces back to a source document, and anything the sources disagree on is flagged rather than silently averaged.

The problem

What this looks like on a Tuesday

  • Your quarterly LP report takes two weeks and three people.
  • Your CRM, your fund administrator and your accounting system disagree on the same number.
  • An LP asks a question on a call and the answer goes out next week.
  • Every AI pilot stalls, because the data underneath was never clean.

I’ve worked on this problem from the inside.

Engagements

Defined pieces of work, not open-ended consulting

Fixed scope, fixed price

Operations diagnostic

One to two weeks

I map one recurring cycle end to end, cost it in hours, and rank what to fix by payback. You keep the written report and the roadmap, whether or not we work together afterwards.

Automation prototype

Three to four weeks · one process

A working version of one manual process, running on your real data. Not a slide deck — something your team can use at the next quarter-end, and enough evidence to decide whether to build it properly.

AI agents

From eight weeks · per use case

Agents that do the reading your team currently does by hand: portfolio company reports, data room documents, fund administrator statements. Structured output, with the source cited for every figure, so nothing leaves the building unchecked.

Ongoing

Embedded with your team

Project-based · your roadmap

You already have a data or IT team and a build in front of you. I join it — senior hands on your priorities, your tools, your standards — and leave when the work is done.

Fractional CTO

One or two days a week

For firms that need the capability before they need the headcount. I own the technical direction, choose what to build and what to buy, and stay accountable for it.

Method

Map, rebuild, hand over

01

Map

I sit with the people who do the work and follow the process as it really runs — including the spreadsheet nobody mentions in the meeting.

02

Rebuild

Built on mainstream, well-supported tooling you can hire for, running on your own infrastructure. No proprietary platform, no licence to renew.

03

Hand over

Documentation, training and the code. Your team runs the process without me by the end of the engagement. I am replaceable by design.

Open source

A sample you can look at

Client work stays private, so here is something that doesn’t. AMOS Core is an open-source project I’ve been working on: a data model for private markets, with a sample dashboard built on a fictional firm’s portfolio. It isn’t a product and it isn’t what I would deploy for you — it’s just a way to see how I model a portfolio and how I document what I build.

Background

Who I am

I am a data and software engineer. I have worked with a range of clients across private markets — from a small private credit fund financing renewable energy projects in Africa to a private equity firm managing $30bn — building the internal tools their teams use every day.

I work directly with the operations, finance and investment teams who use what I build. There is no delivery layer in between.

The projects themselves are confidential, but several clients are happy to speak about the work. Ask me for references on the call.
